Falls Hazards onto Rebar

Hazard:  Impalement
Standard violated:  1926.701(b):  An employee in vicinity of and over a protruding reinforcing steel bar ("rebar"), exposing him to a possible impalement hazard.
Corrective Action: All protruding reinforcing steel onto and into which employees could fall, must be guarded to eliminate impalement hazards. This can be done by capping or covering the ends, or bending the steel to eliminate any sharp ends.
